Code Corrections FAQs

What if wiring changed later?

An addition or alteration generally needs documentation for at least the affected work.

Does inspection guarantee a certificate?

No. Defects may need correction and retesting by an appropriately authorised person.

What does a CoC cover?

It relates to the fixed installation and its test report, not every portable appliance.

How does the two-year rule affect a sale?

Regulations restrict a change of ownership where the certificate is older than two years.
